GIFT IDEAS

Since reading an article in the Sac Bee Business section in 1996, about this home based company, I have bought and sent many of these - the greatest baby gift I’ve ever come across. It is a 30 min personalized cd in a beautiful cd case and costs only $18 or $25 if you include printed lyrics. I have always received enthusiastic thank-you notes. Definitely one of a kind.

Dish Network – one of our members reports that she and her husband ordered service in order to watch east coast football. Apparently they have a sports package not available through Comcast. The local Dish Network Franchise, Ironwood Communications did not have much customer service. First of all they did not notice that our member had a high definition TV and hooked up the wrong equipment. The company also caused damage to the wall during installation.

Another member helped sooth the problem by telling that The Graduate offers games not available on TV and that if you leave your driver’s license they give you an audio box to for better audio at your table.

The Yolo Fruit Stand on Chiles at the causeway is reported to be very good and reasonably priced – although not organic (Ikeda is not organic, either). It was noted that goat cheese was on sale and only ½ the price of one local market on Mace and W. Cowell.

If you are looking for a funny book try The Great Man by Christensen.

Someone requested a window washer – A Touch of Class was recommended.

Napa resource – The Model Bakery in Oxbow Public Market has good sandwiches They have a second location in St. Helena. There pies are good, too.

It is a sister site of www.poverty.com . In addition to vocabulary you can learn and earn rice for art, math, chemistry, foreign languages and English grammar.
