Herbal Animals –Great baby gift. Small stuffed animal comes cuddled nicely in a box for easy wrapping.. The one we saw was Abra K Zebra and it was lavender scented. Can serve as a lavender scented pillow They cost about $17 and are available locally at the Davis Food Co-op.

Powell’s Countertops. – Marty Powell, 21 E. Edwards St., Winters,
(530) 795-3251. Reasonably priced. One of our members was looking for a countertop for her bathroom vanity and used Powell’s and was very pleased. Comments were made on Kitchen Mart who does good work but much pricier.
Plumber – Poot & Scoot Drain Cleaning and Plumbing, David White, 756-7883 – reasonable and did good job. Came back and didn’t charge or complain but was pleasant.

Tassina Bistro on Main St. in Woodland – good review
25 Degrees, formerly Brix Restaurant – closer to Davis on Hwy 29, about 45-50 minutes. Four star review.
Bogle Winery – Located in Clarksburg. Just a lukewarm report: nice store, nothing like Napa.
Castello Winery – near St. Helena, great review

Photos & Calligraphy
Renee Liston member and past president of UFC offers a similar service. She is making a DVD for me to use at my dad’s memorial service. I’ve given her photos and names of songs and each photo is shown for 2-3 seconds. The average DVD has about 100 photos and lasts about 10 minutes. Contact Renee for more information.
